STON.fi just hit an interesting milestone on TON, and I think the number deserves more attention than it is getting.

The protocol is now ranked #4 among 100 TON apps by monthly financially active wallets, with around 14,000 wallets using STON.fi financially during the month.

What makes this more interesting is the position above it.

The top spots include major centralized platforms like Bybit, while STON.fi is sitting at #1 among DeFi protocols on TON.

For me, the important part is not simply being ranked #4.

It is what the ranking says about how people are actually using DeFi on TON.

A wallet being financially active is different from someone simply connecting a wallet, claiming something once, or visiting an app. It points more toward real economic activity.

And that is where STON.fi has an interesting advantage.

Users can swap assets while keeping custody of their own funds. There is no need to deposit everything into a centralized platform just to make a swap.

That self-custody model may sound simple, but it becomes more meaningful as the ecosystem grows.

People want liquidity, easy swaps and better access to assets, but they also increasingly care about who actually controls their funds.

TON DeFi is still developing, so seeing a DEX reach this level of activity alongside major centralized platforms is worth watching.

The bigger question now is not whether STON.fi can reach this ranking.

It is whether this user activity can continue growing as more liquidity, assets and users enter TON.

14,000 financially active wallets is a good milestone.

But I think the more interesting story is what happens next.
