The more I looked into Dusk’s Succinct Attestation, the more I realized I was thinking about it too simply.

At first, I saw the consensus design and expected the main goal to be speed. But proposal, validation, and ratification suggest something more important: making settlement predictable.

What caught my attention is the trade-off. That reliability still depends on provisioners participating properly, so speed and consistency aren’t completely separate.

For financial applications, I’m starting to wonder: would you choose predictable finality over raw speed?
