Nasdaq 100 ETF $QQQ draws a record pace of inflows in August
The Nasdaq 100 ETF QQQ has pulled in +$10.9 billion in net inflows so far this month, putting it on track for its largest monthly inflow on record. That figure already more than doubles the +$4.9 billion it attracted over the entire month of July.
The previous monthly record stood at +$9.2 billion, set in March 2022.
In contrast, the semiconductor ETF $SMH has seen –$2.8 billion in outflows month to date and is heading toward its largest monthly withdrawal ever. The software ETF $IGV.ETF has posted –$610 million in outflows so far in August, marking its third consecutive month of net redemptions.
The flows point to a clear rotation: investors are shifting capital out of semiconductors and software and into the broader technology sector.
