@Dusk #dusk I don’t know… the more I think about Dusk, the less I see it as simply a “privacy blockchain.” The bigger problem is much more practical: financial systems need transparency and accountability, but they also need confidentiality. Not everyone should see everything.
That’s where Dusk’s architecture becomes interesting to me. As a layer-1 focused on financial applications, it is designed around confidential smart contracts and the Confidential Security Contract (XSC) standard. The idea isn’t just to hide transactions, but to let financial rules be enforced while limiting unnecessary exposure of sensitive information.#dusk
Of course, there’s a real trade-off. More privacy can make verification and troubleshooting more complicated. More automation can make rules predictable, but also less flexible when real-world situations don’t fit neatly into code.
I also don’t think the token is the main story. Its role makes more sense as part of network coordination and incentives. The real test is whether developers, institutions, and users eventually find the infrastructure useful enough to rely on.#dusk
