Privacy Without Losing Trust
I used to think blockchain privacy had only two choices: make everything public or turn transactions into a complete black box. Looking deeper into Dusk changed that view for me.
What stands out is how Dusk approaches privacy as a balance between confidentiality and verifiability. Moonlight provides an account and transaction identity layer where verification and compliance can still matter, while Phoenix focuses on protecting sensitive information inside financial transactions.
For me, the bigger idea is selective disclosure. Privacy does not always mean hiding everything. In financial markets, institutions may need to prove that a transaction is valid, compliant, or authorized without exposing every sensitive detail behind it.
That is where zero-knowledge proofs become especially interesting. I can prove that a condition is true without revealing the complete underlying information.
This makes Dusk feel less like a blockchain trying to disappear from view and more like infrastructure designed around controlled visibility.
