I went down a Dusk Network rabbit hole again and honestly... I’m still not sure if I’m looking at something genuinely useful or another crypto project with great tech that might struggle to get real users.
The privacy angle makes sense to me. If financial markets really move on-chain, I can’t imagine banks and funds wanting every transaction, balance and position visible to the entire internet. Dusk trying to handle confidential financial activity while still keeping things verifiable is actually interesting.
But then comes the part I always get stuck on...
Who’s actually using it?
Crypto has so many projects with amazing docs, complicated technology and big institutional narratives. Then you check the real activity and suddenly it feels very quiet.
Dusk has talked about institutional relationships and hundreds of millions in confirmed issuance, which is definitely more interesting than empty marketing. But I still don’t automatically call that adoption. Issuance isn’t the same as a busy market. Partnerships aren’t users.
And then there’s @Dusk itself. Even if the network succeeds, does that automatically mean the token captures the value? I’m not convinced.
Maybe I’m being too skeptical... but I’d rather wait for real users, real assets and real liquidity.
The problem Dusk is solving is real.
Now I just want to see if the market actually cares.
