$BTC breaks monthly trend and outperforms S&P 500: what happened? 🚀

After several months of sluggish movement and lagging behind the US stock market, Bitcoin has finally changed the narrative. The first cryptocurrency has made one of the most powerful jumps of the year - the price soared by 25% (from less than $65,000 to almost $80,000) in just two days.

However, the main intrigue is not only in the rally itself, but also in the sudden change in dynamics against the S&P 500:
➡️ Historical lag: According to Glassnode, over the past three months, BTC has outperformed the S&P 500 on only 1/3 of trading days. This was the longest period of subordination to the stock market in the past 6 years.
➡️ First bells: The first cracks in the trend appeared at the beginning of the week, when the S&P 500 lost 0.5%, while BTC rose by 2%.
➡️ Turning point: While the S&P 500 and Nasdaq closed the week in the red (by 1-2%), interrupting a three-week rally, Bitcoin showed rapid growth, showing the opposite movement.

Is this the final decoupling?
Experts urge not to rush to conclusions. Bitcoin still often behaves as a high-beta asset, sensitive to interest rates and overall liquidity in the markets.

A rapid weekly growth of 25% is a powerful signal, but a few bright days are not enough to claim a long-term break with the stock market. The main question now is: is this the beginning of a new global trend or a temporary flash? 📊
