@Dusk_Foundation Yes..... I assumed DuskEVM was mainly about making Dusk more familiar to Ethereum developers.
The more I read, the less obvious that became.
The interesting part isn't simply that developers can build DEXs, lending markets, tokenized assets and other applications..... I kept coming back to what happens after those applications exist.
More builders can mean more applications. More applications can mean more activity. And that activity has a direct conection to DUSK, because every DuskEVM transaction uses DUSK for gas.
I hadn't initially connected those pieces.
Then there is staking, which secures the wider Dusk network, while growing applications can also bring more liquidity and TVL. It makes the idea of “Utility” feel less like a standalone feature and more like a chain of relationships.
But I don't think the interesting question is simply how many applications can be built.
It's what those applications actually create around DUSK.
Dusk Trade caught my attention here. It's described as an investmnt platform for tokenized real-world assets and it's presented as part of the strategy to expand DUSK utility and build products designed to generate real revenue.
That leaves me thinking about the connection between infrastructure, applications, transactions and actual usage.
The pieces seem connected on paper.
What I’m still wondering is how that connection develops once people actually start using the products let's see 🤔.
