$DUSK I keep noticing the same pattern in DeFi: people ask for transparency until it's their own trades on display. Everyone loves an open ledger until the counterparty is watching their position size.

That tension is why Dusk Network's confidential smart contracts caught my attention. XSC doesn't hide activity from regulators it hides it from competitors. That's a narrower, more useful promise: institutions can settle real financial instruments on-chain without broadcasting strategy.

If it works, the moat isn't speed or fees it's being the default venue for compliant, private settlement.

But privacy tech has a habit of attracting incentive-farmers before real issuers. Watch validator revenue versus token emissions, whether liquidity survives when rewards taper, and whether actual regulated entities not just speculators are using XSC in production.

Privacy without real economic activity behind it is just another chain nobody can see through including the market pricing it.
