JUST IN: BlackRock clients buy $173.3 million worth of $ETH

BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) recorded a massive $173.3 million net inflow on August 20, leading a broader surge that pushed total spot Ethereum ETF inflows to $220.8 million, the largest single-day haul since 2026.

The $173.3 million marks the second-largest daily inflow for ETHA this year, trailing only the $149 million purchase on January 15. BlackRock's ETHA now holds approximately $12.02 billion in cumulative net inflows, cementing its position as the dominant player in the Ethereum ETF space.

The buying spree extended across the category, with ETHB adding $35.9 million and Fidelity's FETH contributing $5.79 million. This marks the fourth consecutive day of positive flows for Ethereum ETFs, signaling that institutional demand for ETH exposure is accelerating at a pace not seen in months.

When BlackRock's clients are piling in at this scale, it's a clear signal that institutional conviction in Ethereum is strengthening.
