A significant portion of the most devastating losses in DeFi do not actually stem from programming errors. Instead, the offchain infrastructure and automated bots that were designed to take action simply fail to do so. Server delays occur, gas prices suddenly surge, and the crucial window of opportunity is lost. The Flow network provides a different approach to this issue.
