Went back through Dusk's ($DUSK ) stack breakdown one more time after the Aug 15 SME tokenization piece, and this time it was the DeFi side that snagged me, not the TradFi side. #dusk @Dusk Foundation. The pitch is "connect traditional finance with DeFi" — but check the actual status tags on the stack page.
DuskEVM, the piece that lets familiar Solidity apps plug in and gives DeFi builders a path onto Dusk, is still marked "Testnet." Same with Hedger, the confidential EVM layer meant to bring privacy to those DeFi flows. Meanwhile the TradFi half — the native L1, carrying €200M+ in NPEX issuance and a 20,000+ investor base — is marked "Live" and already moving real money.
Hmm — so half the bridge is standing, half is still scaffolding. The TradFi institutions showed up first and started transacting before the DeFi-facing infrastructure was even production-ready. Not what I expected going in; figured both sides would need to mature together for "connecting" to mean anything.
Kind of makes me second-guess what "connect" is actually describing right now — a live bridge, or one side building toward a bridge that hasn't been used yet.
