According to CNBC, the pending $12.5 billion sale of the Los Angeles Lakers from Mark Walter to Joshua Kushner and Bob Iger would lift the average NBA team value 21% to $6.68 billion if approved. The Lakers deal would value the team at an estimated 20 times its 2025-26 season revenue, an all-time high multiple for a control stake in an NBA team. CNBC said it adjusted its February valuations for all 30 teams based on the transaction, with the Golden State Warriors still the most valuable franchise at $13 billion, up from $10.8 billion. The New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls posted the biggest gains from February, each rising 26%.
