#dusk $DUSK @Dusk I actually went through the DUSK bridge flow myself instead of just reading the docs, and one detail caught me off guard.
The native Dusk L1 shows 210M+ DUSK staked, while the DuskEVM execution layer is still marked Testnet.
But the more interesting part was the bridge itself.
I expected the usual lock, mint, wallet popup, done.
Instead, you’re choosing between two different representations of DUSK.
Moonlight is transparent and account-based, so it feels familiar.
Phoenix is shielded and note-based, which is a completely different mental model.
What surprised me is that the difference isn’t something I fully understood before starting the bridge. I had to stop and reread the Moonlight/Phoenix part because the choice can affect what you do with those tokens afterward, including privacy and staking-related actions.
So yes, the conversion feels pretty seamless technically.
But seamless and easy to understand are not quite the same thing.
I’m curious how many people bridge their DUSK, see the balance arrive, and never really realize which representation they ended up holding.
