Crypto has seen enough platforms fail freeze, or disappear to know one thing technology alone isn't enough when real money is involved. That's why I think the Dusk Foundation's partnership with NPEX is worth watching. The interesting part isn't another RWA slogan but the regulated infrastructure behind it. Through NPEX Dusk can leverage an existing framework that includes an MTF brokerage permissions and ECSP authorisation, creating a regulated route for assets to be offered and traded within the applicable European framework.
The bigger piece is the DLT-TSS. This is intended to bring regulated trading and settlement directly onto DLT infrastructure, but it's important to be precise the DLT-TSS authorisation is still forthcoming and shouldn't be treated as already approved or operational. The existing licences belong to the regulated NPEX entity not to the Dusk blockchain itself. The value of the partnership is that Dusk can build around established regulated financial infrastructure rather than trying to add compliance after the fact.
Now comes the part that really matters execution. Real issuers real regulated assets, real onchain issuance real trading and settlement and ultimately real users and volume. That's what I'll be watching from Dusk and NPEX over the next few quartersnot simply how often RWA or regulated appears online. The regulatory foundation is interesting, but execution will be the real test and execution is the main thing keep learning and educate self and yourself...
