@TermMax
I used to look at lending rates and immediately ask, “What’s the APY?” I’m not sure that’s the right first question anymore.
A changing yield can look good today, but it also means the number you’re planning around can move before your lending period is over.
That’s why @TermMax caught my attention. Its fixed rate markets give lenders a defined maturity, and its lending range orders let lenders define the rate, amount, and term they’re willing to offer.
Still, I wouldn’t confuse a known return with a risk-free one. Of course, there’s a trade off. Your money is tied to a set term, so you can’t treat it like cash you can move whenever you want. And the usual DeFi risks are still there. A fixed rate doesn’t change the smart contract or the liquidity around the market.
But I’ve started to see the value in knowing what I’m agreeing to from the start. I’d rather understand the rate, the term, and when the position ends than keep checking a yield that can change underneath me. The bigger number isn’t always the more useful one.
Would you rather chase a changing yield or know what you're getting for a specific term?
