Nethermind said it will exit LayerZero's decentralized verification network business after a comprehensive review and migrate its cross-chain infrastructure to the Chainlink network. According to ChainCatcher, the Ethereum ecosystem contributor has stopped operating LayerZero's DVN and joined Chainlink as a node operator and strategic technology provider.
Nethermind said it will continue to provide engineering tools, infrastructure services, and integration support for blockchain application developers. The move comes after a security incident in the LayerZero ecosystem in April, when Kelp DAO's rsETH cross-chain bridge was attacked. Nethermind did not say whether its migration was directly related to that incident, and it did not disclose any specific technical issues at LayerZero or changes in commercial terms between the two sides.
