I keep getting stuck on this small problem with tokenized assets. We talk about an asset being compliant as if compliance belongs to the asset itself. But the same security can enter two markets and suddenly the acceptable holder, transfer conditions, even what must be proven can change.
That makes me wonder if $DUSK could treat compliance less like one permanent gate and more like something the asset carries into each market.
The asset stays the same. The rule context doesn’t.
An investor might prove eligibility privately for one venue, then meet a different condition somewhere else without exposing the underlying identity again. Each market evaluates what it needs, while previous proofs can still carry useful trust forward. That sounds efficient, but I keep circling the uncomfortable part: when does reused proof become inherited assumption?

If this works, compliance starts looking strangely composable. Not one global permission, but different rule sets attaching themselves to the same ownership state as it moves.
Still, I wouldn’t measure this by how many rules $DUSK can encode. I’d watch how often an asset crosses market boundaries without forcing institutions to rebuild trust from zero.
And whether somewhere in that reuse, an old answer quietly survives longer than it should.
