been reading through how dusk actually structures asset ownership onchain, and it made me rethink what tokenization even means.
most projects treat tokenization as just wrapping an asset in a token and calling it done. price goes on a chart, trade happens, everyone moves on.
but real world assets carry more than a price. they carry ownership records, voting rights, dividend eligibility, and balance history that has to stay accurate over time. dusk's account model is built to track transactional balance, voting balance and dividend balance separately, not just one flat number.
that means an rwa on dusk isn't just a price feed with a token wrapper. it actually reflects what real ownership requires, including the parts most tokenization setups skip.
feels like the harder, less flashy way to build this. but probably the only way it holds up long term.
is basic tokenization actually enough for real world assets, or does it need this level of detail??
