Give me just 5 minutes…I want to share one small @Dusk_Foundation detail I found because it looks boring at first, but it actually says a lot about how DuskVM is designed. It is called argbuf.
Basically when a smart contract running inside DuskVM needs to receive or return data, it does not just pass information around freely. Dusk gives it a fixed 64 KB memory space that works like a temporary message box between the contract and the system.
The system tells the contract how much data was placed there. The contract reads it, does its job, then writes the result back into the same space.
This is simple idea…but i actually like it.
There is a clear boundary between the contract and the environment around it, which can make execution more predictable. at the same time, developers still have to handle inputs and memory carefully. The VM cannot save bad contract logic.
And looking forward, I think details like this could matter more as Dusk attracts serious financial applications.
Privacy gets most of the attention, but sometimes these quieter execution rules are what make the system easier to trust.
