TELEGRAM JUST APPLIED FOR A NEW INTERNET NAME ENDING: .GRAM 🚨👀🌐

Pavel Durov said Telegram applied for the .gram domain zone (a new internet name ending, like .com). If ICANN (the group that approves those endings) says yes, users could get yourname.gram and a Telegram-hosted site with one prompt. ✨🧾

How It Would Work 🛠️
1) Muqaddas has Telegram username muqaddashahzad
2) If approved, that can become muqaddashahzad.gram
3) He types one short prompt inside Telegram
4) Telegram hosts the page. People open it in a normal browser

Two different names 📌
🔶 a .com like domains you buy = you can move it to another company
🔷 a .gram address = likely stays tied to the Telegram account

If the account is banned, or the user leaves, that .gram name can go with it.

Mini Apps (small apps that open inside Telegram) stay inside the chat app. A .gram site would be a public web page. 🌍

Why Telegram wants this 📅
On 13 and 14 July 2026, Telegram's short links on t.me stopped working. Pavel Durov asked the .me registry to look into it. Then he bought t.you as a backup.

Those short links still sit on name endings other companies run. If Telegram runs .gram, it would control that ending itself. 🔐

🟩 Reveal Day is around mid-October 2026
🟧 If another company also asked for .gram, there is a clash
🟥 If it passes, a new ending often takes more than a year after initial approval

ICANN got more than 1,600 applications. The fee is $227,000 per new ending. For Telegram that is a small check. The hard part is approval, then running the ending for years. 💰

are you going to use .gram domain, if so for what? 👇
