I keep coming back to one uncomfortable question in DeFi:
How much control am I actually willing to hand over to code?🧐
At 2 a.m., I’d rather not be manually moving capital between fixed-rate markets. But convenience creates its own kind of risk. The moment I let a vault make decisions for me, I’m trusting more than smart contracts. I’m trusting the rules, the curator, the allocation logic, and the assumptions behind them.
That’s what makes #TermMax interesting to me.
Its V2 vault system uses ERC-4626, allowing curators to allocate deposited capital across multiple fixed-rate markets instead of making every user manage each market themselves.
I don’t see that as “automation solves everything.”
I see it as delegation with boundaries.
The real test is what happens when markets behave differently from the assumptions. Liquidity can disappear, incentives can change, strategies can fail, and code can execute perfectly while still producing a bad outcome.
For me, the value of @TermMax is less about removing human judgment and more about making that judgment easier to coordinate.
Good automation shouldn’t make us feel powerless.
It should make our decisions easier to enforce.🕊️🔥
