Tong Shifu said on August 17 that its net profit for the first half of 2026 is expected to fall to 1 million yuan to 1.5 million yuan from 30.2 million yuan a year earlier. Excluding foreign-exchange losses and one-off listing expenses, adjusted net profit is expected to be 15 million yuan to 20 million yuan, down from 42.9 million yuan a year earlier, according to Jiemian News.

The company said the decline was driven by faster expansion of directly operated stores, higher costs from capacity expansion and production-line upgrades, and increased R&D spending. By the end of June 2026, Tong Shifu had 65 directly operated stores, up from 36 at the end of December 2025, meaning it opened 29 stores in six months. It also said a second production center began operating in the second quarter of 2026 and lifted total capacity by more than 50%.

Tong Shifu shares fell 2.45% the next day to HK$13.95 per share, down 77% from the IPO price. The company did not respond to Jiemian News' request for comment. Jiemian News also reported that Tong Shifu's 2025 revenue was 617 million yuan, while rival Zhu Bingren's was 1.009 billion yuan, and that the Chinese copper handicraft market was worth 2.52 billion yuan in 2025.
