I’ve been thinking about @Dusk differently since DuskEVM went live.
At first, the obvious story is EVM compatibility. Solidity, Vyper, familiar tooling — all of that makes it easier for developers to bring existing ideas and applications over without rebuilding everything from scratch.
But I don’t think compatibility is the main story.
For me, the more interesting question is what happens after the first deployment.
If I’m already building in the EVM ecosystem, why would I stay on Dusk when my code can run on so many other networks?
That’s the part I’m watching now.
Dusk has DuskEVM and DuskVM, so developers have different paths to work with the network. But having more options doesn’t automatically create long-term adoption.
I want to see what developers actually do next.
Do they deploy more contracts? Do users interact with them? Do wallets remain active? And most importantly, do developers come back after the initial experiment?
The July 28 update to the public DuskEVM genesis repo showed the groundwork was moving forward.
Now the real test begins.
I’m less interested in how big launch day looks.
I’m more interested in who is still building 30 days later.
