TERMMAX FT: LOCKING IN YIELD INSTEAD OF CHASING APY

I’ve spent some time looking at TermMax’s Fixed Rate Tokens FT and what stands out to me is how they change the usual DeFi yield game

Instead of watching an APY move around with supply and demand you buy the FT below its redemption value and hold it until maturity At that point you receive the full value The difference is basically the return you locked in from day one

That predictability has real value If I’m allocating capital for a few months I’d rather know roughly what I’m getting than build a strategy around a rate that can disappear next week

But fixed yield isn’t automatically better The trade off is flexibility If market rates suddenly rise I’m stuck with the rate I chose unless I exit early With TermMax that makes liquidity an important part of the equation

For FT markets to work at scale there needs to be enough participation from both buyers and sellers Otherwise the yield looks good on paper but becomes expensive to unwind

That’s why I’m watching TermMax’s actual market activity more than headline APYs Would you lock in certainty or stay flexible with variable yield
