Noticed something rereading the docs on Sunday. The word VENUE keeps showing up where I'd expect to see platform, or protocol, or app.
Issuers, venues, institutions, developers, users. Thats the list in the overview. Venue sits there as its own category.
And venue is not a crypto word. Its a market structure word. A place where trading happens under a defined set of rules, with someone accountable for those rules.
Which tells you who the docs are written for, more than any feature list does.
"Protocol" implies nobody is responsible. "Venue" implies someone is, by name, to a regulator.
Uhm, and that difference is roughly the entire gap between DeFi and regulated markets, compressed into a vocabulary choice.
Im wary of reading too much into word choice honestly. It could just be house style. But it recurs across pages written by different people, and thats usually deliberate....
