privacy onchain gets explained like its some switch… public or hidden. i dont think finance works that cleanly tho.
what interests me about @Dusk_Foundation is the middle ground.
a trade doesnt always need the whole world watching it, but regulators, issuers or approved parties may still need proof that the rules were followed. thats where the idea starts making more sense to me… keep the sensitive parts private, prove the important part when needed.
not “hide everything”
more like “show the right thing to the right person”
and honestly thats probly closer to how real financial systems already behave.
Hedger is interesting for the same reason. the point isnt just encryption, its whether private activity can still be checked without opening the entire transaction to everyone.
i think thats where Dusk has a real shot if the tech holds up under real usage.
privacy that can still answer questions when it matters.
