The Aug 15 piece Dusk published about tokenization for SMEs was still sitting in my tabs while I worked through the EURQ angle — and the thing that caught me wasn't the argument, it was the state of what's actually live around it.
Dusk Network ($DUSK ) positions EURQ, Quantoz's MiCA-compliant digital euro, as the missing payment rail for onchain European financial markets. @Dusk — the framing tracks. You genuinely cannot settle a tokenized NPEX equity without something that functions as actual euros, not a synthetic approximation.
But look at where things land right now. EURQ is named, the partnership exists, the settlement logic is designed. And Dusk Trade — the application layer where investors onboard, bind wallets, and actually transact in those securities using EURQ — is listed as "Building" on the homepage this week. DuskEVM still testnet. The payment rail arrived before the market it's meant to clear.
That's not inherently a problem. You have to architect the payment layer before you can build the venue around it. And 210M+ $DUSK staked on mainnet keeps the base layer grounded.
But I keep circling back to a quiet thing: EURQ has been on Dusk for months now. Who's actually using it, and for what, while Dusk Trade finishes building?
