I was looking at DUSK today, and one thing kept bothering me: why do we keep treating privacy and compliance like they have to sit on opposite sides of the table?
That’s what makes DUSK worth looking at a little differently.
Its focus isn’t simply hiding transactions. The more interesting part is building a Layer-1 where financial contracts can operate confidentially while still being designed for regulated environments. The XSC standard fits into that idea, allowing sensitive financial logic to run on-chain without turning every detail into public information.
And that matters if tokenized securities and real-world financial assets are ever going to move beyond experiments.
Maybe the real question isn’t what we can put on a blockchain. It’s how much of the financial system can move on-chain without making privacy an afterthought.
