▶️ LATEST: Tom Lee's BitMine just bought another 9,926 ETH, and it now controls 4.8% of Ethereum's entire global supply.
Total holdings: 5.82 million ETH, worth roughly $11 billion at current prices.
This isn't a one-off buy. It's the continuation of a streak that started in June 2025, weekly purchases, without interruption, since the day BitMine pivoted from Bitcoin mining into an all-in Ethereum treasury strategy.
Lee's target from day one has been audacious: 5% of all Ethereum that will ever exist. At 4.8%, BitMine is now just a rounding error away from hitting it.
Out of that stack, over 5 million ETH is actively staked, making BitMine the single largest ETH staker on Earth. At scale, Lee projects that staking alone could generate roughly $287 million a year in annualized rewards.
BitMine isn't just buying, it's also aggressively repurchasing its own shares. The company bought back 1.7 million shares last week alone, pushing cumulative buybacks past 20.8 million shares since July, the largest buyback program of any Ethereum or Bitcoin treasury company.
Lee's thesis: the ETH/BTC ratio has broken its multi-year downtrend, a pattern he says has historically preceded major crypto bull cycles, driven previously by ICOs, then NFTs, then stablecoins. This time, he's betting on tokenization and agentic AI running on Ethereum's rails.
BitMine is backed by a heavyweight investor roster, Cathie Wood, Peter Thiel's Founders Fund, Bill Miller III, Pantera, and Galaxy Digital among them.
One company, closing in on one-twentieth of an entire asset class.
