Everyone thinks a trade is good because the chart looks exciting, but actually it only becomes interesting when price reaches a level where the risk/reward makes sense.
This is where many traders get trapped. They FOMO into $BTC, $ETH, or $SOL too early, then realize the stop is far away and the upside is too small.
1) Price first, trade second. If price “gets there,” the setup can change completely. Think of it like buying a jacket: at full price it’s average, but at a discount it may finally be worth the risk.
2) Risk/reward is the filter. A clean setup usually needs a clear entry, a clear invalidation, and enough upside to justify the downside. If you’re risking $1 to maybe make $1, that’s not attractive. If the same setup gives you a 1:2 or 1:3 path, now it becomes much more interesting.
3) Patience protects your capital. The mistake is forcing the trade before the level arrives. Sometimes the best move is doing nothing until the market comes to you.
What level would make the risk/reward worth it for you?
