I was reading about Dusk Network yesterday and spent some time looking at the whitepaper and the current documentation. One thing that became clear to me is that DUSK has real utility inside the network.
The first use is network fees. DUSK is used to pay for transactions and on chain execution, so whenever activity happens on Dusk the network uses DUSK for gas.
The second major use is staking. DUSK can be staked by network participants to help secure the network and take part in consensus. Active provisioners can receive rewards from token emissions and transaction fees.
DUSK is also connected with the different execution environments of Dusk. It is used as the gas token for DuskEVM and DuskVM allowing applications and smart contracts to operate on the network.
Another interesting part is its role in settlement and network operations. Dusk is being built around regulated digital assets privacy and compliant financial workflows so the native token is part of the infrastructure supporting these activities.
So after looking into it I see DUSK less as just a crypto token and more as the utility token that helps the Dusk ecosystem actually function. Its main uses come down to fees staking execution and supporting the network itself.#dusk $DUSK @Dusk
