Dusk Network feels different from the usual Layer 1 story. Instead of chasing endless speed claims, it focuses on privacy for financial applications through confidential smart contracts and its XSC standard. That problem is real: financial systems often need verification without exposing every detail publicly.

Still, the hard part is adoption. A technically strong blockchain means little if developers, liquidity, institutions, and users stay elsewhere. Solana has shown how smooth a network can feel under normal conditions, while heavy demand can expose weaknesses. Dusk will face the same reality eventually.

I like the focused direction, but I’m not ready to call it a winner. The real signal will be sustained usage, not announcements.

It might work. Or nobody shows up.
