I keep thinking Dusk is interesting because finance has a weird blockchain problem: it wants verification, but it absolutely does not want every transaction exposed to everyone.

That’s where Dusk’s privacy-focused Layer-1 approach starts making sense. Its Confidential Security Contract standard is basically trying to make smart contracts work while keeping sensitive financial information protected.

But then I start wondering about the harder part. Privacy technology can be impressive and still be painful to use. Banks and institutions care about reliability, compliance, settlement, reporting — almost like logistics companies care about tracking every shipment without exposing their entire operation.

Dusk seems to understand that difference. Confidential smart contracts aren’t just about hiding data; they’re about controlling who can prove what.

I could be wrong, but adoption will probably matter more than the technology itself.

My current view is... Dusk has a genuinely useful direction, but real-world financial usage is the test that really matters.
