The interesting part about Dusk Network isn’t simply that it wants blockchain transactions to be private. It’s trying to solve a much bigger problem: how do you bring real financial activity onchain without putting every sensitive detail in public?

Dusk is built as a Layer 1 for regulated digital assets, with confidential smart contracts and selective disclosure at the protocol level. Its XSC standard is designed for financial contracts where privacy and compliance both matter, while zero-knowledge technology helps prove things without exposing everything underneath.

What caught my attention is the practical direction. Think securities, trading, lending, ownership and settlement where the blockchain can verify what needs to be verified, while sensitive balances, positions or business information don’t have to be visible to everyone.

That feels like a much more realistic path for blockchain in traditional finance.
