YES..... At first, I thought a testnet was mostly about proving that the pieces work. Reading through DuskEVM Testnet made that assumption feel a little too simple.
I kept coming back to “Testnet.” It sounds temporary, almost like a rehearsal. But if the point is to interact with the system while it is still being tested, then the interesting part is not simply whether something runs. It is what those interactions reveal.
Instead of treating the testnet as something to judge immediately, I started thinking about it as a place where assumptions can be challenged. Something that seems straightforward in documentation can feel different once you move through it.
I wasn't expecting that distinction to matter.
A testnet can expose the distance between understanding a mechanism on paper and understanding how it behaves when someone actually uses it... That gap may be where useful obserations come from.
It also made me wonder what people are really testing when they participate. Are they checking individual pieces, learning the flow, finding friction, or simply trying to understand what the system feels like from the outside?
I don't think there is a neat answer yet.
Maybe that is the point of loking at a testnet closely: not to decide what it means too early, but to notice what becomes clearer only after interacting with it let's see 🤔.
