Australia's New South Wales will roll out a gun buyback program in November after last year's Bondi shooting in Sydney. According to Sina Finance, gun owners in the state can hand in eligible rifles, shotguns, and handguns from November 2 and receive up to A$1,000 in compensation. New South Wales Premier Chris Minns said the state wants to collect the guns, compensate owners, and destroy the weapons safely. He said the policy change could affect hundreds of thousands of guns, and the state will share the program's costs with the federal government.
