I’ve spent quite a bit of time going through Dusk’s architecture, and the more I read, the more I think the interesting part isn’t simply “privacy on a blockchain.”
The bigger idea is making privacy work inside regulated finance without turning compliance into an afterthought.
DuskEVM caught my attention because it gives builders a familiar Solidity/EVM environment, while Hedger is designed for confidential workflows using homomorphic encryption and zero-knowledge proofs.
That combination matters because financial institutions can’t treat every piece of information the same way. Some data needs to stay private, while certain details still need to be disclosed to authorized parties.
Then Dusk Trade adds another layer to the story. Instead of stopping at infrastructure, it’s aiming at actual workflows around tokenized funds, ETFs, bonds and other RWAs, including onboarding, eligibility, trading and settlement.
But I think this is where Dusk faces its most important test.
Can all of this technology turn into real financial activity?
A good architecture can look impressive on paper. The harder part is getting builders, institutions and users to actually rely on it.
That’s what I’ll be watching with DuskEVM and Dusk Trade. Not just what the technology can do, but whether people eventually have a real reason to use it.
