According to CNBC, Ukraine said its long-range strikes hit a Russian military airfield in the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Progress rocket and space center in Russia's Samara region, with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy saying Flamingo cruise missiles struck the rocket facility about 900 km from Ukraine's border. Ukraine's General Staff said direct hits were recorded at both sites and that the strikes sparked fires, while local officials in Samara said air defenses repelled a "massive missile attack" and that industrial infrastructure sustained localized damage. The General Staff said the Samara plant produces rockets used to launch satellites for the Rassvet broadband network, which Russia is developing as an alternative to SpaceX's Starlink. Russia's defense ministry said its forces struck Ukrainian logistics centers and fuel, energy and transport infrastructure, as well as assembly workshops for long-range drones and drone boats, over the past 24 hours.
