I’ve traded enough across different chains to know that “fast and cheap” doesn’t mean much if the execution is trash.
You see a price, hit swap, and somehow you’re filled way worse. Then you check the route and realize half the liquidity is scattered across three different places, MEV bots have already seen the trade, and the market moved against you before the transaction even settled.
That’s honestly what makes Dusk interesting to me. The privacy angle isn’t just some nice feature for the sake of it. If financial apps are going to live onchain, I don’t really want every order and transaction sitting there like an open invitation for front-runners.
Still, I’m not pretending privacy magically fixes everything. Liquidity, execution, fees, adoption — all the boring stuff still matters.
But I’d rather see a chain trying to solve the ugly parts of onchain finance than another L1 screaming about TPS while traders keep getting clipped on execution.
