#DUSK The Technology Behind the Network
The more I look into Dusk, the more I realize that its real strength is not just what users see on the surface. One part that really caught my attention is how Dusk handles communication across its network.
Dusk uses Kadcast, a P2P protocol based on Kademlia DHT, to broadcast blocks, transactions, and consensus votes. Instead of relying on simple direct connections, it creates a more structured way for information to travel between nodes.
What I like about this approach is the focus on efficiency. Kadcast is designed to reduce unnecessary message duplication, network collisions, bandwidth usage, and delays. For a blockchain, this matters because even a strong consensus mechanism needs fast and reliable communication between nodes.
There is also a privacy benefit that I find interesting. Because messages move through a network of nodes rather than simply exposing a direct path from the sender to other participants, the origin of a message can be naturally harder to identify.
For me, this is one of those Dusk features that deserves more attention. It is not flashy, but it shows that the project is thinking about the infrastructure underneath the blockchain not just the final product.
