Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich said the company sold no Bitcoin after moving 5,014 BTC worth $322 million between custodial addresses.
➤ Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich clarified that a recent large transfer of 5,014 BTC ($322 million) was a routine custody operation and not a sale of the company's Bitcoin holdings.
➤ The company currently holds 43,000 BTC and aims to increase its holdings to 100,000 BTC by the end of 2026 and 210,000 BTC by the end of 2027.
➤ Metaplanet is also expanding its strategy to include investments in Bitcoin and crypto infrastructure in Japan through Metaplanet Ventures and exploring Bitcoin-backed digital credit.
