X Open Source said it will open source the code that affects post visibility in the For You timeline and launch a new label transparency tool. According to Foresight News, the open-source release includes post ranking and filtering logic, as well as content labels that can affect visibility.

The accompanying tool will let users check whether an account or post has labels that limit visibility. Eligible users who have posted more than 10 times in the past month can use the new Under the Hood page to view monthly labels and download data. The feature is currently being rolled out as a pilot to randomly selected qualified users whose accounts are at least one year old.
