#dusk $DUSK Privacy is becoming a much bigger challenge as financial activity moves onchain.
What makes @Dusk_Foundation interesting is that it is not simply trying to bring traditional finance onto a transparent blockchain. Dusk is building a privacy-focused Layer-1 infrastructure designed with financial applications in mind.
Its DuskEVM provides an EVM-compatible environment, giving developers a familiar way to build while benefiting from Dusk’s privacy-oriented infrastructure. The more interesting part is how privacy can be integrated directly into financial workflows instead of being added later as an extra feature.
Through confidential smart contracts and technologies such as zero-knowledge proofs and homomorphic encryption, Dusk is exploring ways to protect sensitive financial information while still supporting verification and controlled access when needed.
That balance could be especially important for regulated markets. Financial institutions may not want every transaction detail exposed publicly, but they still need accountability, compliance, and the ability to disclose information under the right conditions.
This is why I think Dusk has an interesting approach to onchain finance: privacy and compliance don’t have to work against each other.
If more financial assets and markets move onchain, privacy may need to be part of the infrastructure from the beginning, not something added afterward.
