#dusk I have been looking at Dusk through a different lens: developer activity versus token demand. After years watching cycles I have noticed that infrastructure narratives only become interesting when builders start producing measurable network usage.

Piecrust gives Dusk a WASM execution layer while piecrust-uplink provides tooling for building contracts. That could lower friction for developers using Rust and make contract infrastructure more practical.

But I am not treating better tooling as proof of adoption. The weakness is simple: infrastructure can exist without enough applications, users or liquidity to create sustained demand.

I have been looking for a connection between development and activity: contract deployments, active addresses, transaction frequency, state growth, developer commits, fees and liquidity.

If those metrics trend upward together I’d take the Dusk thesis more seriously. Until then, I am watching rather than assuming.
