I’ve been watching Dusk for a while, and what interests me most is that it isn’t treating privacy as the whole story.
The recent work around Dusk Connect caught my attention. Making it easier for wallets and dApps to interact with the network sounds like a small step, but I think this kind of infrastructure matters if Dusk wants developers to actually build real financial applications on it.
The bigger point for me is simple: privacy alone doesn’t make blockchain useful for finance.
You need privacy, compliance, smooth UX, and reliable settlement to work together.
That’s where I think Dusk gets interesting. It’s trying to build the underlying infrastructure for financial markets where sensitive information can stay protected without giving up the benefits of being onchain.
The way I see it, the next phase of Web3 finance will be less about speculation and more about figuring out how blockchain can handle real-world financial activity.
Can privacy-focused chains like Dusk find that balance?
