The most dangerous moment in a bullish breakout is often right after it starts working.
A lot of traders see $SOL pushing toward $80 and market-buy because they’re scared of missing the next leg. That’s exactly where bad entries happen if the breakout turns into a liquidity grab.
$SOL has broken out of a falling wedge, which is usually read as a bullish reversal pattern. It forms when price keeps making lower highs and lower lows, but the range gets tighter until sellers run out of momentum.
The warning: a wedge breakout is not confirmation by itself. If $SOL tags the $80 area, rejects hard, and falls back inside the old wedge, that’s often a failed breakout. Late longs get trapped, especially if $BTC starts pulling back at the same time.
Cleaner setups usually come from a retest: price breaks out, comes back to the wedge top, holds it, then continues. Chasing the first green candle into resistance can work, but the risk/reward gets ugly fast, even on strong names like $SOL and $ETH.
What would you rather see here: a clean retest or a straight push through $80?
