At first, I honestly put $DUSK Network in the same bucket as most privacy-focused chains.
Then I spent a bit more time reading about it, and one detail made me pause.
Dusk is a Layer-1 built with financial applications in mind.
Its Confidential Security Contract (XSC) standard is probably the part I find most interesting.
What caught my eye is the approach to privacy.
It’s not simply about making everything invisible.
Confidential smart contracts are designed to let applications handle sensitive information while limiting what gets exposed publicly.
That could be useful in finance, where transaction details, business data, and compliance information aren’t always meant for everyone to see.
But there’s a trade-off.
Too much transparency can expose sensitive data.
