I was checking out AEGIS Security Analysis to learn more about Dusks security. It made me think that security is not about finding mistakes in the code.Dusks security is about how the protocol design and the validators and the incentives and the economic consequences all work when the network is under a lot of stress. An audit can find problems but to have secure infrastructure you need to think about what happens when those problems happen in real life.Dusks architecture is based on validators and token economics and governance and protocol rules. These things all work together: the incentives make sure people participate the governance helps make changes and the security reviews help reduce the risk of implementation issues becoming economic problems. That is why I think AEGIS is one part of keeping Dusk secure not just a way to say it is safe.Real security is something that happens all the time. It is, about the code and the incentives and the validators and the governance and the reviews all working when things get tough. That is when you really find out if your security is working.
