I kept seeing Dusk described as a “privacy blockchain”, so I went through the docs to understand what that actually means.
What I found is that Dusk isn’t about hiding everything.
It’s about programmable privacy — sharing the right information with the right people, at the right time.
That makes a lot of sense for regulated finance.
Some information needs to be public. Some needs to stay private. And some should only be disclosed to an authorized party when required.
That balance is what I find interesting about Dusk.
With its privacy infrastructure, including Hedger and Citadel, Dusk is building toward financial applications where privacy, compliance and verifiability can work together.
For me, the bigger question isn’t whether finance will move onchain.
It’s whether we can bring it onchain without forcing sensitive financial information to become public by default.
That’s the use case Dusk is building around.
What’s your take on programmable privacy?
